Isabella's Birthday Party!

So we threw Bella a birthday party on Saturday morning. I didn't want to go too all out and get stressed out like I did when she turned one, so I tried to keep it simple. And it was fun (and I got to enjoy it too)! It started at 10 am so it could end before lunch time and naps, I didn't want any cranky kids! We let the kids play with bubbles outside for a little bit, and it was so stinking hot! I swear it was like 95 degrees outside, and I felt kind of bad for the guests, but the kids really enjoyed it. Then we let them decorate rice krispy treats with frosting and sprinkles, which seemed like a big hit. I did rice krispy treats for two reasons, the first is that every egg substitute I used made cupcakes crumble and fall apart, and they made a huge mess. And the second is that they are egg, peanut, and milk free, and I invited a little boy who is allergic to milk. So there was no ice cream and cake, but we stuck two candles in a cake shaped rice krispy treat and let bella blow out the candles, which she loved! Then we opened presents and let the kids play with those while the adults chatted it up and were ready to leave. It was just the right amount of time for 2 year olds. Thanks to everyone who came and wished Bella a Happy Birthday! (Again, some pictures are blurry, sorry)

Wow! I can't believe she's 2 already. It goes by so quickly. It looks like she had a blast. Wish we could be there to help celebrate.
