What's Mud Got to Do With It?

EVERYTHING!!!

Tonight my wonderful in-laws came over to surprise me with an early Mother's Day Present, early because they are flying to Utah tomorrow to see their moms. I don't know what I would do without them. Bella and I were bored with nothing to do, and nowhere to go because of the swine flu (we are staying away from playgrounds). And they came over to help us with our yard, which was in desperate need of it. Clark mowed our lawn (thank you! I have really been procrastinating it with Chad being gone). And Linda, Bella, and I went to Home Depot to pick out some flowers for our front porch. Since we bought our house three years ago, we have done almost nothing to the outside, and it really needed some sprucing up. Then we came back and got to work. The dirt in that spot is horrible and the flowers we planted have died the last two years, so we dug up the dirt and put some good top soil down and mulch. Bella had so much fun playing in the mud and with the water hose. We made quite the mess, but it was well worth it. What a great mother's day present!

Bella was very interested in the worm we found, but she didn't want to hold it. I can't blame her though, bugs are definitely on the bottom of my list. In fact, I think the last time I touched a worm before this was when my brothers put some in my hair.

Papa, he put in a good day's work! Thank you!!!

Cute pictures, as always! We are still anxious to have you come for a visit. Bella is just so dang cute!!

So... was that perhaps Shad that put the bugs in your hair??? He is giving me the innocent eyes, and I'm thinking he probably had something to do with it! ;)

That is funny if it was Shad - I was thinking Trevor LOL

I love that the pictures are great! I can honestly imagine either Kendall, Shad, or Trevor doing that to you but i think my money is on Shad, I can imagine him being a mean older brother.

It was Kendal and Shad. I'm not sure which one did the actual putting of the worm on my head, since they did it from behind. But I know they were both there, laughing of course. Oh brothers, I guess they prepare us for husbands!

Muddy hands and worms in wet hair--hum--I learn a lot by coming to my children's blog spots! I shall have to come more often!

Boys will be boys--what can I say! And they never grow out of it--I still get an occasional trick up a sleeve now and then!!
