Potty Time!

Wow, two posts in one week, I am on a roll!! Yes, Isabella is officially potty trained! We have worked on this a few different times, but each time she wasn't quite ready and wanted to go back to diapers. I didn't want to fight her, because she is very stubborn, so I just decided to wait. We have had so much going on I haven't wanted to commit to it because I was afraid to take her out without a diaper. One day I just decided to put her in big girl panties and keep her in them all day, even though we had a lot planned. I packed two changes of clothes and off we went, and she did great. We had one accident at Nana's house that night when she was playing with her cousins, one more when we were on a walk a couple days later, and one after her nap yesterday. I still put her in a pull up at night (we call them special night time panties), but other than that, she wears big girl panties! I think the biggest thing that helped her is that we have talked about it for a long time and we had the two trial runs, but I never pushed her too hard. I have gotten books and a video from the library, which she really liked to read and watch. I definitely have to bribe her with treats when she does her pee pee dance because she doesn't want to stop and go (what kid does?). My biggest fear is that she needs to go in the middle of a store and we can't find the bathroom or don't get there fast enough. I can't just leave a puddle of pee on the floor (any tips?). I think I will try to always have a change of clothes with me.

Oh, and this is also our remodeled bathroom. I had to get some blue in there for Bella since it is her favorite color. The bath set was on sale at Wal-Mart, and it was like half the price of the set we liked at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I don't know why it took us almost three years to do it (well actually it's because we needed a new tub and they are expensive!) But I love it now!!!

This is how she dances, I don't know why she decided to break out in dance right then.

Don't you hate this girls? She likes to flush the potty though!

She loves that she can do everything by herself (so do I) She climbs up by herself!

She does the soap by herself

And turns the water on by herself (no me, if I try to help)

That is so cute!! I am not looking forward to potty training Jaydee at all. But Jaydee is stubborn too and I am afraid if she is having one of her days that she won't go on the potty and throw a temper-tantrum and we will be back at square one. But good job to you!! She is so adorable. And I love the bathroom.

Ha ha! Funny that her dress is tucked into her underwear! I've seen that so many times in my life!

Way to go Bella! I have to say that I'm extremely jealous. But I should just stop being lazy and give it another try. OOORRRR I could just keep waiting until he's 6. hahaha just jokin. You've inspired me I should try again in June or something. (=

okay, pretty much that is just the most adorable thing, im so glad she finally is potty trained, she is a fast learner, it makes me sad that you are so far away, and I dont get to see her grow up. I am definately going to have to make a trip there this summer, and not when its raining, haha. ill have to bring mom's nice SLR camera, and we can have a little photo shoot. that would be super fun. I miss you all so much, and I love you.

Oh man, she looks SOO big in that first picture! Shad and I couldn't believe our eyes!! What a beautiful little girl...not a baby anymore! And its totally official, I am completely baby and child hungry. :( And it would be SOO awesome if you could come visit us in July! We'd LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I was totally going to call you tonight, because I feel like I haven't talked to you in a while, AND i feel like so much is going on over there with moving and selling, etc. We need to catch up!

Oh... and I just read Danielle's post, and I TOTALLY get first dibs on a family photo shoot! Hehe! ;) Love ya!

Yay potty training! I wish Isabelle would get on with it. She' nearly 3 1/2 and still doesn't go on the potty. It's getting embarassing now with all of the other kids younger than her able to go and she's still running around in diapers.

Congrats to bella! I wish I could get Gage trained. He just still doesn't care. He knows what to do, etc, but just wants to still be in a diaper. Annoying!

Now lets not have a fight over who gets to take pictures of Bella! She is spoilt in that department already!! LOL

That is awesome that she is potty trained. We need her to come help someone else we know!!

We miss you all so much!

Yeah Bella! I miss my adorable niece!
Amanda is finally FULLY trained and I think she gets the hint enough to enjoy the niceness of underwear LOL Too bad it was candy that worked for her this time - she has been so hyper lately Haha! But she has stayed dry all night and everything! ! !
