For some reason, I feel the need to only post positive or fun things. But this is not one of those posts! We just had the most horrible night with a 2 year old at the Ice exhibit at the Gaylord Texan, where they carve the ice into sculptures. Chad's family usually goes every year, and this year his grandparents were here for Thanksgiving and we wanted to take them. We chose the worst night possible. It was insanely busy and Isabella was horrible! I have never witnessed a child act so terrible in public, and it completely ruined everyone's night.
We have been way off of our normal sleep schedule this week, so Bella took an early long nap today, but woke up at her normal time for going down, so she was awake for longer than usual by the time we left. We started out the night by driving 40 minutes to the Gaylord. We got our tickets and found out there was a 2 hour wait. Since it was dinner time, we decided to leave and go eat. Bella was in a fairly good mood, especially after she got some dinner, and she enjoyed eating with her cousins, Luke and Madison. Then, we went back to the hotel to go to the ice exhibit. This is where it gets ridiculous! We stood in line forever waiting to get in. And we are holding our jackets and beanies and gloves because it is freezing once you get to where the ice is, but it is really warm everywhere else in the hotel. We were in line for awhile and we got to where they start giving you the big coats you are supposed to wear through the exhibit, so I thought we were right where you go in. So I started trying to get Bella to put on her coat. She had already wore my beanie for awhile and had my scarf on, but she threw a big fit and wouldn't wear any of it. So we finally, through lots of screaming, wrestled her down and got her coat on her, only to turn the corner and find out we were only halfway through line. And it is ridiculously hot in line, even without any jackets on. So we take the coat off because bella is just screaming and it is so hot. Now we are trying to hold a screaming toddler, my purse, three jackets, three huge coats, and stuff beanies and gloves in my purse. Did I mention it was so hot! And then we stood in line for 30 more minutes! It was awful. By the time we got in to the ice part, where it was freezing, Bella wouldn't wear anything, she was just in her long sleeve shirt. So after we had been in there for a few minutes, we decide to fight her and get her coat on her again. Well, she just freaked out and was kicking and screaming. Chad and I just zoomed through there and got her out as fast as we could, and then she was fine. She just wanted to play and needed some space (and some sleep). Chad and I were in bad moods by then and didn't even say goodbye to anyone when we left. It was horrible and I almost cried on the way home, which is a big deal because I never cry! Chad seriously said like 20 times that he doesn't want anymore kids, so don't be surprised if we never have anymore! She is just like me when it come to being super cranky when she doesn't get enough sleep, and she is really bad when we are off routine. Poor Bella, she will be so glad when we get back to our normal routine... until we go to Utah! Ugh, did I mention it was a really bad night!

The joy of toddler hood. We all go through it. keep strong.
When Stephen and I have kids I'll make them share with yours. :) Then again, Bella will probably be in her forties and won't want to play with our baby's cars....
Oh Bella!! Maybe Shad and I don't want kids...Mmmm??Can I just say that we watch that video of Bella on Halloween like EVERYDAY...seriously. We LOVE it! "NEIGH!" Hilarious. That's why you have kids!
Oh hunny it is okay. We all need a good vent session here and there. And I think it is ridiculous that Luke's mom hasn't taught him how to share...that is unbelievable.
Hang in there cause in a few weeks me and you can escape and do lunch when we are both in Utah.
